Capturing the essence of Spanish tapas in Manchester
Campo Blanco, a vibrant Spanish tapas restaurant in Greater Manchester, trusted me to create authentic, mouthwatering imagery since its opening. Their vision was clear—bring a little piece of Spain to Manchester through warm, inviting photography that reflects the heart of their cuisine.
To achieve this, I used natural sunlight that enhanced the rustic wooden textures of their table tops contrasting the rich, vibrant colors of each dish, ensuring a fresh, authentic feel. The use of bright tones and organic lighting helped evoke the warmth and energy of a traditional Spanish tapas experience.
Through multiple collaborations, we developed a consistent visual identity that aligns with the restaurant’s brand, creating a collection of striking images that not only showcase their dishes but also tell the story of Spanish dining in a modern setting.
During winter months we decided to change the imagery to suit the cold winter months. We decided as a team that bright sunlit photos might be viewed as obnoxious when customers were in the grasps of the British winter and decided that imagery that suited the low light and warm tungsten glow. We adjusted the imagery to suit the mood.
